Cantonese Opera Dazzles the San Francisco Harvest Festival
(San Francisco, CA, October 29, 2003) --- The San Francisco
Harvest Festival is returning to showcase its “Magical Makeover” with
exciting entertainment from the Red Bean Cantonese Opera House with Tri-City
Talent Group, a Book Launch and the hottest trends in Jewelry for the holidays.
Don’t miss this exciting new Festival, November 14 – 16 at the
Concourse Exhibition Center.
On the
entertainment side, the Red Bean Cantonese Opera House will be putting on a
Chinese Opera demonstration Saturday, 11/15, at 10:15 AM.
Their performance will encompass a variety of opera dance and martial
arts styles. Performing at the
Harvest Festival are two of the Opera’s youngest members, their bright rising
stars: Stacey Fong and Jared Young. Stacey
has paved the way for bringing Cantonese Opera into the mainstream culture.
She founded a website dedicated to the promotion and discussion of
Cantonese Opera in the Bay Area (www.pearlmagik.com/bayareacantoneseopera).
Stacey was also featured on KTSF Channel 26’s Face
of the Bay Area. Stacey and
Jared’s rare passion for this traditional art form has earned them
community-wide recognition. Red Bean will have a booth set up throughout the
weekend, providing Harvest Festival goers the opportunity to feel like a star
themselves by receiving a stage makeup application by a professional.
Information on becoming involved with the Opera House through lessons and
events will also be provided.
Setting the standards for haute couture jewelry is the
world’s leading Swarovski Crystal showcased by Alacarte.
Their work has been featured at Swarovski fashion shows throughout the
world including Paris, Barcelona, New York and Miami. Alacarte Jewelry’s
sparkling collection of wearable art, adorned with Swarovski crystals, includes
an amazing selection of necklaces and beads and elegant Murano glass pieces and

within the communities they serve.
