On the entertainment side, the Red Bean Cantonese Opera House will be putting on a Chinese Opera demonstration Saturday, 11/15, at 10:15 AM.  Their performance will encompass a variety of opera dance and martial arts styles.  Performing at the Harvest Festival are two of the Opera’s youngest members, their bright rising stars: Stacey Fong and Jared Young.  Stacey has paved the way for bringing Cantonese Opera into the mainstream culture.  She founded a website dedicated to the promotion and discussion of Cantonese Opera in the Bay Area (  Stacey was also featured on KTSF Channel 26’s Face of the Bay Area.  Stacey and Jared’s rare passion for this traditional art form has earned them community-wide recognition. Red Bean will have a booth set up throughout the weekend, providing Harvest Festival goers the opportunity to feel like a star themselves by receiving a stage makeup application by a professional.  Information on becoming involved with the Opera House through lessons and events will also be provided.
